Winterizing Your Boat
About this time every year, I question why I don’t live closer to the Equator. South Florida sounds really good to me right now, and that would mean that our boat could be in use year round. Not the case where we currently live though. This time of year means getting the boat ready to go into storage for about five really long months. I think it negatively affects the whole family too. No boating time, no sunshine on the water, just cold days ending early thanks to Daylight Savings Time.
I will admit that I do not really have the time to whine about it until after the new year rolls in, but right around January 2nd, I get antsy and anxious for warmer weather and some ample boat time. If you live in a place where you have to winterize and store your boat, then watch the introduction to winterizing below. If you do it yourself (properly) you could save some money.
Now, if you are lucky enough to live in a year round mild climate, then I am just plain jealous. I think I am going to be creating a presentation on why we should move farther south in the near future now…
