Weekend Boating

Weekend Boating

I am absolutely without a doubt happy to announce that my husband and I finally got our boat back from having the motor rebuilt.  It was a long process and some days it seemed like we may not ever see it again, but yesterday was the day.  Boy are we ready to get back out on the water.  I think even our dogs have missed cruising around on the lake too.  So, this weekend we are going out on the lake to enjoy a weekend full of boating and enjoying the water.  We have big plans, folks, big.  A little tubing, some wakeboarding, and obviously some anchoring and relaxing.

Tubing is for the kids in the family.  Our nieces and nephews love, love, love to tube.  I can’t think of any kids who don’t love tubing though.  It’s like we can put them out on a tube and they are the happiest kids in the world.  I love that!  Watching them have a good time is one of the main reasons that we even take the boat out, especially with the way gas prices are.

My husband and I like to wakeboard, and don’t tell him, but I am the better of the two of us.  There is nothing mroe exciting than being out behind a boat, riding the wake, and being attached to a board.  Seriously, if you have yet to wakeboard, then you have not lived your life, plain and simple.

The main thing that we have planned on doing on the lake though is finding a good and empty spot to anchor and hanging out.  Boating sports are fantastic and there are few thing greater, but anchoring the boat and floating around on the lake is one of the best things pretty much ever.  Toss in a cold beer and some great music, and I am all set to have an incredible weekend, for real.

So, if you’re looking for some fun in your life, hop on a boat and enjoy yourself.  There is nothing better.
